Blocks 1 and 2:  Today you should have turned in your Week 19 Warm Ups and the Statistical Question Sort.  If you did not turn both of those in, then you need to complete them and turn them in on Monday.  Also you should have written a question for your project that is due March 2nd.  You can begin to do the research for that question.

Blocks 3, 4, and 5:  Today you should have turned in your Week 19 Warm Ups.  If you did not turn them in, you should complete them this weekend and turn them in on Monday.  Also if you did not complete 1-4 on the practice packet in class, you should make sure it is complete through number 4.

Have a great weekend!!

Welcome Back!!

Blocks 1 and 2:  Unit 6 begins today.  This is a fresh beginning so everybody has the opportunity to be their best selves in this new year.  Notes were given today on the topics of statistical questions and line plots.  So parents who happen to read this blog, you should be able to get an understandable answer if you ask your children what a statistical question is and/or what a line plot is.  There will be a unit project due March 2nd.  I will give a rubric out later.  HW- p. 587 #1 and 2 (make the line plots, ONLY)

Blocks 3, 4, and 5:  Today we took notes on Direct Variation-  linked here Direct Variation Notes-p8f5rk  – these should be glued in to your MSG.  We practiced with some direct variation graphs.  Tonight your homework is to watch the video linked here.  You can take notes during the video to show us tomorrow.  It is a 5 minute video.  https://learnzillion.com/assignments/Q46VY9Y

All students will have an opportunity to finish their tests tomorrow, either during class or before school.  I will be here at 8:15 for the students who wish to come early.  We will have an activity (involving candy) during class so if you don’t want to miss any of that, you could see if someone can bring you early to finish your test.   No homework!!  Thank you to all of the parents who donated for our fun and educational activity tomorrow.

All Classes have a test Monday!  Study!!  I will hold a study session Monday morning at 8:15 for anyone who wants to come.  All are welcome!!  Also we are still in need of M&M’s and Skittles for our activity Tuesday, so all donations are welcome if anyone is going shopping this weekend.  Also since we received some donations of the big bags (thank you!!), we could use some small baggies to divide them up.  Thank you so much for your continued generosity!!
