Week of 12/17/18

Posted on

Well, we finally made it to the last week of 2018.  It’s so hard to believe that we’re halfway through our school year together.  Please remember that Thursday and Friday of this week is Early Release and we’ll be leaving at 12:30 each day.  ASP will continue to be open for those who wish to send their students to ASP.  This week, we will not be having a spelling test, nor will be having a mentor sentence/invitation to edit.  We will be completing the invitation to edit that we missed last week, but that’s all.  We will begin working on division, but I don’t expect the students to master the idea of division until after the break.  Please have your students work on their multiplication/division facts during the break. Also, after the break, we will be completing a State Project in conjunction with Ms. Stanley.  If your child gets bored over the break, they are welcome to begin researching their state.  We will have time in class to work on this project, but many of them were excited and wanted to get started on it soon.   We have lots of fun things planned this week, so please be sure to check your child’s agenda daily to know what they need for the next day.

If I don’t see you or talk to you before the end of this year, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.  I will be thinking of you all!
