Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I just received an email from Ms. Perry with some pertinent information about the Fourth Grade Lunch Bunch on Thursday. I also received information about Ms. Stanley’s read aloud. On Thursday, at 12:00 noon, Ms. Perry will hold her Fourth Grade Lunch Bunch Zoom meeting. You can grab a snack or your lunch and join in to Ms. Perry’s zoom. While you’re there, you can participate in the Feelings Scavenger Hunt. I’m attaching the worksheet for the Scavenger Hunt here. Using this worksheet, students will search for things around the home that bring up certain emotions, feelings or memories. For example, students will look for objects that:
*Make you laugh
*Are part of a new hobby
*Help you remember a trip!
Please allow bring one of the items from the Scavenger Hunt to the Zoom meeting, you can share your item with the other students. Don’t have time to do this in advance? No worries…if you don’t have time to do this in advance, you can still share either by finding the item during our Zoom or by just telling about it! In order to participate in the Fourth Grade Lunch Bunch Zoom call, be sure you go to the Digital Learning tab in the Content Area of the notebook, click on Zoom Meetings, then scroll down until you get to “Ms. Perry’s Lunch Bunch Links.” Then, you’ll need to click on the link for Thursday, April 30, 2020.
Also, Ms. Stanley will be doing her read aloud at 11:00. This week, she’ll be reading Little Red Hot and planting some red hot peppers. You don’t want to miss it. In order to access Ms. Stanley’s read aloud, go to the Fascinating Fourth Graders notebook, click on “Digtial Learning” in the content area, then click on “Ms. Stanley’s Read Alouds.” Once you’re there, you will need to double click on the excel spread sheet, scroll down to Little Red Hot and click the zoom link.
Hey! I hope everyone is coping with this “shelter in place” until 5/1/20. Even after the release of “shelter in place, please, please, please take care of yourself and be careful! I know it’s been a long 7 weeks for me! This week, we have some of the same activities that we had last week, however we are going back to reveiw multiplication and division! Be sure you check the Fourth Grade Blog for all the lessons this week. Like last week, we are going to need you to upload your assignments under the “homework” tab under your name. There will be a new table for this week’s assignments. Keep up the great work! Hopefully, we’ll be able to get together soon. Oh, be sure to check your mail this week for a little special something from us! We love you guys!
Well, here we are again. This is our new normal. I hope everyone had a good weekend and are staying safe with all this rain and yucky weather. Don’t forget to check out the Fourth Grade Blog for this week’s assignments. Please feel free to email me or Mrs. Homer if you need assistance accessing any of the activities. If you aren’t able to upload pictures and assignments, you can email them and we’ll put them in the notebook. Stay safe! We’ll see you in a little while! The zoom link and password are posted in the notebook.
Don’t forget about Ms. Stanley’s read aloud on Thursday. You can get to the link by going to the Digital Learning Page under the Content Library section. You’ll have to double click on the Excel Spreadsheet to open it, then click on the link next to the book title at the bottom. It’s the link next to Armadilly Chili. I think Ms. Stanley maybe doing something special with the reading this week. You’ll have to tune in, so you don’t miss anything!
Good morning! Just wanted to send a reminder that we will not be having digital chats on Fridays. Fridays are your days to catch up and finish any of your assignments that you are still working on. You guys are doing a great job of keeping up and staying on top of it all! Keep it up! If you need assistance, Mrs. Homer and I will both be available through email, if you need some help. We will see you again on Monday morning! Look for the link to be uploaded Monday around 8:45.
Good morning! Today, Ms. Perry will be having her fourth grade lunch bunch from 12:00 – 12:30. This is an opportunity for all fourth graders to get together and see each other. Bring a snack or your lunch and have lunch with Ms. Perry. I will post a link on the Fascinating Fourth Graders Notebook, under the Content Section, Digital Learning page (where you find the daily links for our morning chats). We look forward to seeing you soon!
Good morning my friends! I hope every one had a wonderful spring break, eventhough we didn’t go anywhere. I know I enjoyed having a chance to catch up on reading some books. I have read 4 books over the week and I’m working on another couple that I hope to have done soon. Just a reminder, to be sure and check the fourth grade blog (on the right hand side of this blog) for your daily activities. I’m sure you’ve been told that we will have classwork Monday through Thursday and Fridays will be the day you can use to catch up and finish anything that didn’t get finished during the week. We will be completing assignments daily. You are more than welcome to upload your assignments to the notebook for Mrs. Homer and myself to check. We will be available any morning to “reteach” anything you are struggling with. We will also be checking email throughout the day, so if you need any help, email us and we can talk you through your hard parts or we can create a meeting to help you through it. I know this is not the ideal way to learn this new information, but it is pertinent that you attempt it, because next year, you’ll be expected to know it. It will be an interesting start to the year, to say the least. We’re looking forward to seeing your smiling faces again this week.
Last week was hard for me. I needed to see you! I hope you had a great week “off” and we look forward to seeing you in just a few minutes. Don’t forget to go to the notebook to find the link for today’s “chat.” Glad we’ll be back together virtually today!
I hope everyone has a chance to enjoy your spring break. Take some time away from “digital learning” and just relax. This has been a crazy month! Take some time to breathe, take it slow, get some sleep, etc. Next week, we will be back at it! Ready to learn some fun new stuff! Please be sure you check the blog on Monday, 4/13/20 for updated information. If you do any fun things this week, either email them to Mrs. Poulos or Mrs. Homer or you can add them to the Notebook. Mrs. Poulos has created a page under the collaboration tab for you to share the fun things you’re doing while you’re social distancing. Also, on Friday, Ms. Stanley will be doing her read aloud again. The link to her “Zoom” read aloud can be found on the notebook. I’ll probaby join in on it there. Please make sure while you’re listening to the story that you are respectful, responsible, and empowered. Many people were not very kind, respectful or responsible this past week.
Welcome to the new “normal.” I really hate that we won’t be able to see each other in person for the rest of the school year. I cried myself to sleep last night and continue to just break down strictly for the reason I won’t be able to see you kiddos for the rest of the school year. However, we do have our daily digital chats. Don’t forget to go to the Fascinating Fourth Graders Notebook to click the link and receive the password. We love you guys!
