ONGOING: Work on ZINC (300+ words due April 19).

 

Monday, March 18

Opener: Assign dramaturgy groups.

Work Session:

  1. Go to the library to research dramaturgy topics, exploring resources and preparing a short presentation to provide context to peers.
  2. Presentations begin tomorrow.

Closer: Complete MCM.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (3rd checkpoint April 9).

 

Tuesday, March 19

Opener: .MCM on a Tuesday.

Work Session:

  1. Present Moors, Turks, Venice, & Cyprus
  2. Rehearse and perform “Fred” scenarios to solidify understanding of the role of subtext in interpretation of the scene.
  3. Read 2.1 and 2.2.
  4. Assign groups for 2.3.

Closer: View the “beach scene” in the film adaptation; analyze for film elements.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (3rd checkpoint April 9).

 

Wednesday, March 20

Opener: Present Ira Aldridge, Paul Robeson, Recent Othello Productions.

Work Session:

  1. Annotate scripts, determine blocking, interpret subtext, & rehearse 2.3.

Closer: Fill in animal imagery and word trace charts, analyzing patterns in Act I.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (2nd checkpoint March 15).

 

Thursday, March 21

Opener: Present Epilepsy.

Work Session:

  1. Annotate scripts, determine blocking, interpret subtext, & rehearse 2.3.

Closer: View the Fishburne adaptation up to 2.3.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (2nd checkpoint tomorrow).

 

Friday, March 22

Opener: Review expectations for EPCOT group meetings and documentation (Schoology structure).

Work Session:

  1. EPCOT meetings: compose 2 additional theme statements; list potential research topics.

Closer: Perform 2.3.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (3rd checkpoint April 9).
