Opener: Review tips for voiceover, finding sound files, and creating aesthetically pleasing visuals (fonts, transitions, images).

Work Session: 

  1. Revise “I Remember You” video and publish.

Closer: Submit video for viewing.

HOMEWORK: IRY video due tomorrow; No Red Ink due Sunday. Obtain a copy of The Night Circus; third set of ZINC due April 9th.

 

Tuesday, March 19

Opener: Turn in “I Remember You” videos.

Wednesday, March 20

Opener: View “The Betrayed Duke Prospero” video.

Work Session:

  1. Analyze characters and themes introduced in Act I (“Somebody Wanted But So”; character & theme tracker graphic organizers).
  2. Introduce scholar’s journal; complete entries for Act I.
  3. Review elements of exposition Art & Reading ppt; summarize the exposition of The Tempest.
  4. Compose an exposition Art & Reading ppt. EOC narrative review of STEAL elements and narrative structure; revisit punctuating dialogue correctly.

Closer: Share narrative expositions, reviewing STEAL elements, narrative structure, and punctuating dialogue.

Thursday, March 21

Opener: Review writings on Utopias; Ponder and Respond: What makes for an ideal world?

Work Session:

  1. Read Act II Scene 1.
  2. In island families review Act II Scene i, and analyze Gonzolo’s world view vs. Sebastian and Antonio’s remarks.

Closer: Compare and contrast class performances with professional productions of the opening scenes.

Friday, March 22

Opener: View Act II Scene 1 of The Tempest. 

Work Session: 

  1. Writer’s Workshop: Complete scholar’s journals through Act II.
  2. Peer critique MLA format and review lead-ins for variation.
  3. Provide feedback on depth of commentary

Closer: Introduce The Night Circus (read chapter 1).
