Monday, March 25

Opener: Review strategies for analyzing prose multiple choice.

Work Session:

  1. MCM prose passage
  2. Continue analysis of Othello 2.3; add subtext (stress, inflection pauses, physical gestures) and blocking (entrances, exits, props, placement).

 

Closer: Rehearse 2.3.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (3rd checkpoint April 9).

 

Tuesday, March 26

Opener: Review Othello “quiz” requirements.

Work Session:

  1. Finish analysis of Othello 2.3.

Closer: Rehearse 2.3; prepare for tomorrow’s performances.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (3rd checkpoint April 9).

 

Wednesday, March 27

Opener: Quick rehearsal of 2.3.

Work Session:

  1. Perform Othello 2.3 group scenes.
  2. Compare/contrast student performances with the Fishburne adaptation of the film.

Closer: Fill in animal imagery and word trace charts, analyzing patterns in Act II.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (3rd checkpoint April 9).

 

Thursday, March 28

Opener: Review FRQ feedback and fill in student data sheet.

Work Session:

  1. Compose a response to the prompt.

Closer: Self-assess according to the rubric.

Homework: Read your EPCOT novel; work on ZINC (3rd checkpoint April 9).

 

Friday, March 29

Opener: Review expectations for EPCOT research.

Work Session:

  1. EPCOT meetings: begin research.

Closer: Complete EPCOT requirements in Schoology.

Homework: Enjoy your break! Work on EPCOT novel project requirements; work on ZINC (next checkpoint is April 9)
