Welcome to 4th grade!  I’m so honored to be working with your child this school year. Every week, I will post on my blog what we will be learning, doing, creating, and assessing.  If there are important dates coming up, I will list those as well.  You can subscribe to my blog by entering your email address on the left of this blog.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me.  Let’s have a fantastic year!

Here are the highlights for this week:

  • We will be using the first few days of school to establish relationships, routines and procedures.  This is a vital piece of success in our classroom.  I want to establish a deep level of trust with your child so that I can guide them throughout their 4th grade journey.
  • We will also be taking a few pre-assessments this week.  This will help me to gauge  their learning level so I can meet your child where they are and help them grow throughout the school year.
  • I will be assigning homework, beginning with the first day, to establish routine.
  • First day folders will be going home on Monday.  There are forms that do need to be filled out and returned to school.  If you are unsure if one pertains to you, please ask me.

It’s going to be a wonderful school year!
