HIGHLIGHTS FOR THIS WEEK:

Math – We are continuing to work with multiplication strategies.  Specifically, we will work on the area model and moving toward the distributive property in the form of partial products.

Reading – We are continuing to look at perspective and point of view.  We are analyzing text to determine the point of view of the narrator and inferring the perspective, through the use of text evidence.

Writing  – We are finalizing our opinion essays and will begin a new essay about what characteristics make a successful student.

Grammar – We are continuing to look at homophones this week.

Spelling – Spelling Homework Sort7 – This will be due on 11/17 when we have our spelling test.

Social Studies – We are continuing our unit on colonization.  We will have a test on Friday covering the geography of the colonies and the life in the New England colonies.  A study guide will come home on Monday.
