Need parents to help run an event

Our school is running the Backyard Biologist event. I need 2 parents to stay in the event room to supervise it. You will get complete directions…it’s fun and easy! It helps you keep busy while the rest of us are waiting around. We will watch your Science Olympian so don’t worry about your child.

Thank you,

Cobb Regional Event Details

The team is very excited for our regional competition on March 23 at Walton High School! Here is the information packet that you can download and print. It contains the schedule, rules, Remind code to enter into your phone, and map details. 2019 Cobb Regional ESO Schedule-u570ch

Our school has volunteered to run the Backyard Biologist event. I need 2 parent volunteers to be in that event for all 3 sessions. You just give instructions to the teams and then collect the test materials after they have completed them. You will get directions and it is a fun time. If you would like to volunteer, please email me at

Please remember to be on time for the competition. Parents will stay with their children for the entire time.  It is helpful to have some activities to do while waiting, like card games or drawing.

District Competition March 23

Hello Parents!

We are so excited to get closer to our district competition at Walton High School. I wanted to send a quick reminder that we start the day around 7:30 am and end close to 1:00 pm. Parents are required to stay with their children. Please plan to attend the entire time. It is always a fun time and there is plenty of food and snacks to purchase from the Lady Raider lacrosse team.

I will post more specific details closer to the event.

Here are the dates and locations for the regional and state competitions. Parents accompany their children the entire day…we have lots of fun together!

No Official Practice on Monday the 7th

Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the break and started the year off well. I will be out of the building on Monday and will not have an official practice. If parents would like to use my classroom on Monday to meet with their teams, I will leave the cart of materials inside. Please let me know if you will be practicing on Monday. We will resume Monday practice on Monday the 14th.
