Happy Friday!! Thank you for all your hard work in getting through the year of 139 in-school days and 33 digital learning days for a total of 172 days! Thank you Brynn for showing how to make $1.72!
Please tune in to Dr. Hosey’s Final Edition of the PNN News here PNN
We will have no more new lessons but open our 2nd Grade Digital Plan May 11-15 if you need to catch up on any unfinished work from the week. Please complete and upload your life cycle informational writing and also write a personal narrative about what we did in the month of May for your Monthly Happenings book. Remember we had Teacher Appreciation Week and you did a car parade for me which was AMAZING and I received wonderful surprise gifts daily on my front porch! (You can scroll through our blog to see all the pics.) You also learned about the life cycle of a bird and a plant in the month of May. We worked on +/- word problems in math, and economics in Social Studies. We had Zoom meetings where we answered riddles about our classmates and won raffle prizes. And we had Virtual Career and College week. Today’s theme is “Career Day” – Dress like what you might want to be when you grow up. Don’t forget to post your picture to the Pitner PTSA FB page for a chance to win a $25 gift card! Add your own details to support the main ideas of May and use temporal words to sequence the events then post your May Happenings to Seesaw so I can see!
Remember each week you should log in to RAZ Kids and read and quiz on at least one book on your level and practice math skills for at least 20 minutes in Dream Box. Congratulations to the following students who have done that these last two weeks:
RAZ Kids – Aniyah, Brynn, Jasmine, Joshua, McCutchen and Tristan
Dreambox – Aniyah, Brynn, Riley, Iyla, Joshua and Tristan
I am so sad our year is ending this way! Please take a trip down Memory Lane by clicking here A Year in Pictures and smile at all the fun times we had together! Then plan to come to school next week on your scheduled date and time to pick up your belongings, raffle prizes, and end of year gifts. I’ll be there to help pass them out so I hope to see you then! I love you! Happy Summer! 😎
