Week of December 2-6

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I have enjoyed hearing all of the stories about what the students did over the break. My family had a restful break, but I was ready to come back and see everyone.

OUR WEEK IN A NUTSHELL

4th Grade

This week we are beginning our division unit. Students will be learning how to estimate quotients and divide 3 digit dividends using the partial quotients method. There will be several opportunities to practice and master this method. It will help prepare them for using the standard algorithm.

Homework: Students have been given a Weekly Math Review. Please have them complete the appropriate column each night and return the next day. There are times where students will have time in class to work on homework, but it will need to be checked by someone at home that night.

5th Grade
