Thank you, parents, for getting your child to school on time every day!  Your child is allowed to dress down on Wednesday, October 11th  and also received a special coupon.  The count for the 2nd quarter is on and we would love to have at least half the class receive perfect attendance.

KINDERGARTEN GEORGIA PERFORMANCE STANDARD GUIDE: Please refer to skills that we are learning each week on the back of your child’s purple folder.  The sight words that your child needs to learn to spell and recognize are on the front of the folder and the Guide on the  back.  Remember to practice daily: Uppercase and Lowercase letters, letter sounds, counting to 50, counting objects and writing the number to show how many objects up to 20. Your child should be able to write his/her name with correct letter formation.

TEASLEY AND PTA AND PAWS’ BLOGS: Please remember to go to these sites for updated events and information.

SHOW AND TELL:  The children are very excited about Show and Tell this Friday (8/18).  Please allow your child to bring one (1) item that begins with A or B or C. They can rename the item to match the letter we are learning. The letters they are learning are on the back of your child’s purple folder.

MEDIA CENTER:  Please let your child read and/or tell the story to his/her library book.  REMEMBER  to put in back in the backpack every day because we might go any day of the week.  The children love checking out a book.  It is your child’s responsibility in taking care of the books and returning it on time. We treat all books like a baby.  smiles

FALL PICTURE DAY:  Wednesday, August 23– STUDENTS MUST WEAR STANDARD SCHOOL ATTIRE. We will be taking photos for the yearbook.  We can not accept money before August 23rd.  Please send it on that day only.

PURPLE FOLDERS: Please remember to check purple folders each night and return to school the next day. Keep their folder clean.

READING CHALLENGE:  Your child should be reading 20 minutes each night.  The August reading log is due Sept. 1st.  Your child will get recognized if this is completed on time.  The best reward is your child will become an great reader!!!

Have a great one!

Kindest Regards,

Ms. Qualls and Ms. Mosley

Kindergarten 2017-18

Welcome Kinder Parents,

So excite about the 2017-2018 school year! We are going to have a great time growing and learning. We will make new friends, work hard and play hard, and go on many fun adventures.   The children will enjoy making their own decisions, taking charge of their personal responsibilities and being accountable for choices they make. Yes, they are growing up.  Please look at how children enjoyed learning last year on my blog.  Parents enjoy the ride with us.  smiles

Come on and let’s get started!  Join me for #bestYearEver!
