Kids, we need your help!
The weather is getting colder and young people just like you
around the state of Georgia are in a desperate need for socks.
Here is how you can help:
- Collect from friends and family NEW socks for children that you can bring to school during the month of October. Collection bins will be located in the front lobby.
- We will have a Crazy Sock Day on Friday, October 5th. Students and staff are invited to wear crazy socks to kick off the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign!
If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Weber, School Counselor

A Note from Mrs. Powers and Mrs. Matthews
The students did a great job with the French & Indian war, & we are moving on past place value in math! We will be doing a book study in Reading with a book entitled “Loyalties Divided” to study inferencing. Please make sure to clean out Thursday folders when they come home & return on Friday empty.
Dates to Remember:
August 31 – Back to Football Friday
August 31- Fire Safety Village Pre-visit
Sorry it’s a few days late but hopefully you all saw the hard copy sent home Monday.
Welcome to Mrs. Powers’ and Mrs. Matthews’ 4th grade class! We are excited to be your teachers! We will be co-teaching this year to help our students master the rigorous curriculum. Co-teaching is when two certified teachers are present in the classroom and they work together through the teaching process: planning, teaching, and assessing progress. Students frequently have different learning styles and preferences. Co-teaching often allows those different needs to be more easily met.
