In Social Studies, we were going to begin learning about George Washington Carver  We will be learning about Ruby Bridges for the next two digital learning weeks. I will continue to add resources as I find them that your child can use to continue learning about George Washington Carver.

The link below will get you to many resources and especially Pebble Go which has a video about Ruby Bridges and so much more. Here is the easiest way to get into Cobb Digital Library, Go to…

Then click on Resources or Databases and you can search for Pebble Go Social Studies,  Then type in George Washington Carver in the search box.

Pebble Go is worth the time to visit the site. The students used it in class and in the library and loved it.

Your child can share what he/she has learned about George Washington Carver on Seesaw.  I can’t wait to see all the learning!

If you would like you can do research with your child and find out important information about Ruby Bridges.

Questions you can ask are: What are civil rights? What was segregation? What was the part that Ruby Bridges played in school integration? What character traits describe Ruby Bridges?
