REMINDER: Info Sheets & Instrument Check-Out Forms Due!

Dear Band Family,

This is a reminder that the Student Information Sheet found at the back of the band handbook is due on Friday August 4th. This is your student’s first participation grade! Turning it in early or on time will result in a 10/10 for the week.

Students using a school-owned instrument will be bringing Instrument Check-Out Forms home this week. Students should return the signed form ASAP. Thank you!

2017-2018 Band Handbook

Dear Band Family,

Attached is our Tapp Bands Handbook for the 2017-2018 academic year. This document serves as our course syllabus for all band classes, providing you important information about grading procedures, event dates, codes of conduct, etc.

The last page of the handbook is a Student Information Sheet for families to complete. This sheet is due by Friday August 4th for 7th and 8th grade band members, and Friday August 18th for 6th grade band members! It will serve as your participation grade for the first week of classes!

Please read through the handbook carefully, and let us know if you have any questions.

Welcome to the Tapp Band Program!

Dear Tapp Band Family,

We welcome you to our new Tapp Middle School Bands blog! We are gearing up for another successful year as we prepare for students to return on Monday July 31st. This blog is another resource for students to stay engaged with the band family outside of classes, allowing us to connect 24/7. On this blog we will share music, talk about upcoming events, and even provide additional resources to students as they practice their instruments at home.

Again, welcome to our blog! We are looking forward to another successful year.

Go Tigers!
