Fire Safety Visit

Today we had a visit from Firefighter Scott. He talked about some very important fire safety tips with us. For homework tonight please review the following tips/questions with your child.

  • Should we sleep with our bedroom door open or closed?
  • Can you find the smoke detector in our house?
  • How do we get outside if there is a fire in our house? (crawl to a door or window)
  • Discuss where your family meeting place is at.
  • Do we go back inside to get a favorite toy or pet?
  • Show me how to stop, drop, and roll.
  • What is the phone number that we call in an emergency? When do we call? When should we not call 911?
