Teasley’s International Baccalaureate journey began a few years ago. We knew the wonderful benefits the program would bring our school. In the 2016- 17 school year we began the process of becoming an IB school. This meant administration was trained and the staff was sent to many IB schools throughout the area to see what an IB education looked like, sounded like and felt like. We then completed our intense application. The summer of 2017, we were officially accepted as a candidate school! In January of 2018, all teachers were trained and we will begin moving forward with teaching and planning in an IB way. The staff has begun working on the Learner Profile Traits (which are a core component of the program). The authorization process will take a few years- but we are excited about each step we take that gets us closer to that goal!
