Intro to Culinary students worked on knife cuts last week and completed work in chapters 9 & 10. This coming week we will have a quiz and then test on those two chapters. This week we will begin work in chapter 15 of the Culinary Essentials textbook. Attached is the reading guide for chapter 15 as well as the lesson plan for the week.

We have finished our safety & sanitation unit and will be taking our test on it next Wednesday. Now we are starting the recipes and measurements unit. Attached is our lesson plan for next week.

This week we had Open House and I enjoyed meeting many of the parents. We had our first lab, Monkey bread. Students took their Safety & Sanitation tests.

Next week we will have labs for measuring and equipment, oatmeal cookies and waffles!

Culinary Arts 1 has finished their history unit and started their Safety & Sanitation unit. Monday they will have a test on history, next week they will have a quiz on Safety and Sanitation. Reading guides are all attached.
