Digital Learning updates

Hello parents!

  • Today your child came home with a gallon ziplock bag with some materials that we will use throughout our digital learning. If your child was not at school today (3/13) you will be able to pick their bag up in the front of the school until 9:00 tonight.
  • Starting on Monday, March 16th we will begin our digital learning through Seesaw. In the gallon ziplock bag you will find a QR Code. You will need to either scan or type in your Home Learning code in order to access the program. You can use a computer OR phone to access Seesaw. This is where most of the activities and lessons will be located and posted. Each day assignments will contain a reading, writing, and math activity.
  • I will post lessons by 9:00 am each day-they should take no more than 1 hour- and I will be available from 9:00-10:30 each morning to help in any way I can!
  • If you have any trouble or have any questions, please feel free to email me. I am here to help in any way.

Online learning

Good evening parents,

I am sure that you all have heard by now that Cobb County Schools will be closed beginning Monday March 16. We are working to provide online lessons and you will receive further information letting you know how to access that platform. Please let me know if your child does not have access to a device and internet in order to utilize this platform.

I will also be sending home hard copies of some activities tomorrow. Look out for a folder in your child’s backpack and keep it somewhere safe. This will also contain some log in information. These materials are learning opportunities and will need some type of parental supervision in order to optimize learning.

Mrs. Walker and I will miss your children and cannot wait to be back in the classroom together. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. The best way to reach me is my email

Specials Night!

We’re wild about specials! All Kindergarten and 1st Grade students are invited to perform on March 5th at 7:00 PM for Specials Night. Your child will be learning songs in Music class and in Spanish class to share with you. If your child is interested in taking part in the performance, please click the link below and fill out the survey. All rehearsals take place during Music and Spanish class, so your child won’t have any after school or morning rehearsals. Simply sign up, and show up to perform on March 5th!

The deadline to sign up is February 28th. A confirmation email will be sent out with more details about the night after the deadline. Students who perform will wear a solid green shirt with khakis.
