May 15, 2018 PLEASE READ!—CHANGES IN OUR 1st GRADE FIELD DAY TOMORROW!

ATTENTION PARENTS:

PLEASE READ ABOUT THE CHANGES TO OUR FIELD DAY PLANS FOR TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY MAY 16!

—–Due to the strong possibility of rain tomorrow, our Field Day Plans have been modified!—We will still have Field Day tomorrow, but all of the “Outdoor Games” have been cancelled.  However, we will still have a fabulous and fun day doing  lots of fun activities inside the gym and staying dry while we have fun!

—–The new time for the 1st Grade Field Day is from 9:45—11:15 and lunch for Field Day will be from 11:30—12:00 @ Table 8 .—-Also,  later in the day the Annual “Tug-of-War” Competition between our fellow 1st grade classes  will take place in gym from 1:00—2:00 p.m.

—–Please note since there will be no outdoor games, there will be NO WATER GAMES, so a change of clothes and a towel will not be necessary.

—– A water bottle is still recommended as there will still be lots of fun activities to make us thirsty!

—–Shorts/pants, a comfortable top, and socks & tennis shoes are also still recommended as there will be lots of running, jumping, hopping, scooting, & hula-hooping fun!—-NO FLIP-FLOPS OR SANDALS FOR SAFETY REASONS!

I look forward to a wonderful time tomorrow with our fabulous class friends!

 Get to bed early tonight!

5/14/2018

Dear Students and Parents,

Thank-you for the many wonderful flowers, cards, notes, emails, poems, gifts, gift-cards, candy, snacks, cookies, sweets, hand-drawn pictures, and hugs you gave me in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week last week.  You were very sweet to remember me and your kindness has truly touched my heart. I am a very lucky teacher to have such thoughtful students and parents and will always hold you dear as part of my “school family”.

It has been my pleasure teaching your precious children and working with you to help your child have a successful 1st grade year.  Every student has made so much progress and growth, not only in Reading, Math, and Writing, but also in maturity, responsibility, and self-control!  I look forward to hearing about their continued success in 2nd grade next year!

Have a safe and fun Summer Break!  I will miss you all!

See you in the halls next year!

Love always,
