Math Centers

Throughout the year, the students will be completing math centers that focus on the unit we just finished. The students started working on ‘The Start of the Year’ centers last week. They worked in partners or small groups and worked well with each other.

Social Studies

We opened the year in Social Studies learning about the Big Ideas and Themes that we will be studying throughout the year. We introduced this with a ‘4 Hat’ activity. The hats represent, economy, history, citizenship and geography. They then read some situations and decided which ‘hat’ it fell under. They did a great job!

Welcome Back!

I want to let you know how excited I am about the upcoming school year! Please check your emails at least once a week for emails I have sent out. It is imperative that you check your child’s agenda every night. It may have important information in it beside you needing to sign the agenda and reading log. I will be adding links to the website for different resources throughout the year, as well as pictures of what we have been doing in class. I am looking forward to making this year a productive one for all of us, especially the children!
