Celebrating life through poetry

Walton’s third annual Poetry Out Loud competition on Monday night was a great success. Over 40 spectators gathered to support nine competitors as they recited poems in two rounds of competition.

Selections ranged from Maya Angelou’s “Caged Bird” to Percy Shelley’s “Ozymandias,” and Walton’s own Senora Cox recited her beautiful poem “Ay, Granada!” for all to enjoy.
