Hello, Global Citizens and Math Brains! Here are the highlights from today.

Social Studies: Today in class you took the European History test.  There is no homework tonight.

Math: Today in class you took the Math Inventory assessment.  There is no homework tonight.

Although there is NO HOMEWORK, it is a good idea to check your grades.  We only have a few days left in the marking period, and if something is missing you need to make it up and turn it in soon.  🙂

Hello Kiddos,

It was so fun to be your teacher today!  I enjoyed all of you today, from 1st to 5th block.  Here are the highlights:

Social Studies: Today in class we reviewed for the European History test.  Here is the link and the code for the quizizz if you want to use it to study.  Use game code 887834.

Math: Today in class we played a substitution game with inequalities. Homework is to finish both sides of the inequality practice by Friday.

Hello Kiddos,

I had so fun being your teacher today!  Here are the highlights.

Social Studies: Today we looked at the impacts of the world wide economic depression through the lens European History.  There is no homework tonight, but it is a very good idea to complete your study guide by Monday.  We will go over the correct answers in class then.

Math: Today in class we worked on the Dinosaur Direct Variation.  There is no homework tonight, since you will have all of class to finish this tomorrow.

Social Studies: Today in class we looked at details from the Cold War and German Reunification.  There is no homework tonight.

Math: Today in class we reviewed plotting points on a coordinate plane to prepare for direct variation.  Homework tonight is to complete the coordinate grid graphing practice.

Hello Global Citizens and Math Brains,

It was so nice to see you today!  I was thrilled to return to work from jury duty to learn that you were just as wonderful as I thought you would be yesterday.  Thank you.  Here are the highlights from today.

Social Studies: Today in class we started to discuss the Russian Revolution.  We will continue learning about that tomorrow. There is no assigned homework tonight.

Math: Today in class we did a few things.

  1. Finished MSG notes on multiplication and division equations
  2. Practiced with one step multiplication and division equations
  3. Handed back the Unit 3 test and corrections form.  In class the procedure for corrections was explained and modeled.  Paper copies of the CORRECTION FORM were passed out in class to those who wanted one.  Here is a digital copy if needed. Test Correction Form.  Test corrections are due DECEMBER 3 and will earn back 50% of the points lost on the test if they are completed correctly.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hope to see you tomorrow.  If I am out serving jury duty please be sweet to the guest teacher. 🙂

Here are the highlights from today:

Social Studies: Today in class we learned about some common propaganda techniques.  We will use that information tomorrow when we have a “gallery walk” of WWII propaganda in the Digital Age Classroom.

*Block 2 kiddos – you will need to eat your snack in block 3 tomorrow since no food or drink is allowed in that room.

Math: Today in class we learned about one-step addition equations, which are solved by subtracting.  Homework tonight is #1-12 (Addition Equations ONLY).  Here are the answers.

  1. b = 5
  2. g = 7
  3.  t = 8
  4.  r = 7
  5.  r = 10
  6.  f = 5
  7.  t = 2.2
  8.  y = 2.9
  9.  a = 4.3
  10.  b = 1/2 (one – half when reduced from two-fourths)
  11.  w = 1/14 (one-fourteenth)
  12.  k = 1/5 (one-fifth when reduced from two-tenths)

Remember to bring a non-perishable food item if you are participating in pajama day tomorrow!

Here are the highlights from today:

Social Studies: Today in class we listened to the guest speaker from KSU discuss the rise of Nazism in Germany between WWI and WWII.  There is no homework tonight.

Math: Today in class we reviewed for the Unit 3 math test that is tomorrow.  I also gave you the answers to the study guides that were passed out last week.  Your test is tomorrow and it is not open note, so make sure you study.

Remember your canned goods for our Thanks for Giving Food Drive!

Good afternoon Global Citizens and Math Brains,

Here are the highlights from today:

Social Studies: Today in class we started drafting the DBQ response about how the Treaty of Versailles led to WWII.  We will continue writing in class tomorrow.  The only homework tonight is to return your permission slips for the guest speaker on Monday.  The deadline for permission slips is TOMORROW. 

Math: Today in class we took the Unit 3 Touchstone.  Tomorrow we will go over them, look at the correct answers, and start a review for the Unit 3 test that is at the “just right” level for you.  There is no homework tonight, but you did receive a study guide that is due 11-12-19, the same day as the test.

Remember to bring in your canned/nonperishable food items for the THANKS FOR GIVING food drive.  Your support of local families in need is greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow is the color battle! Wear shoes you are not too attached to if you are participating.  They will be colorful when you are done.
